A Briscola Simulation for Commodore 64
Old cards, new code. Briscola reborn on the Commodore 64.
BriscoBasic is a retro card game developed entirely in CBM BASIC V2.0 for the Commodore 64. This project combines the charm of classic programming with the timeless fun of Briscola, a traditional Italian card game.
The game was created for the "Card Game Jam (BASIC Only)" hosted by Phaze101 and supported by the Retro Programmers Inside (RPI) Facebook group.
Features
- Gameplay: Challenge the computer in a simple yet engaging simulation of Briscola.
- Graphics: Minimalistic visuals that capture the essence of retro gaming.
- Sound Effects: Essential audio effects created using the SID chip.
- Source Code: Peek into the source to see BASIC do its magic.
Technical Details
- Joystick: Use joystick in port 2.
- Tested on: VICE emulator and real Commodore 64.
