Missione Lunare (Commodore 64)

Missione Lunare is a simple game written in BASIC V2.0 for Commodore 64 inspired by Lunar Lander and Jupiter Lander.

The aim of the game is to land the lunar module on one of the two platforms on the inhospitable lunar terrain.

The module can tilt and operate motors to change speed and direction.

To be successful, the module will have to land on the platform in non-tilted position and at a limited speed, excessive speed or impact with the ground will result in the destruction of the module.

The module has a limited amount of fuel, you must pay attention to the gauge because running out of fuel will almost certainly result in the lunar module being destroyed.

This game runs on the real Commodore 64 and major emulators.

How to play

To successfully land on the lunar platforms, you must pilot the lunar module using your computer keyboard.

Game controls

• A - Tilt the Lunar Module to the left;
• L - Activate the lunar module engine;
• D - Tilt the Lunar Module to the right.

Difficulty levels

The game has three difficulty levels depending on the engine chosen:

• first engine (red), very powerful, but with high consumption;
• second engine (white) with balanced power and consumption (in my opinion the simplest level);
• third engine (green), very difficult to manage, with lower power and consumption than the first two.

The choice of engine is made at the beginning of the game, using keys 1, 2 and 3.

System requirements

To play you need a real Commodore 64 computer or an emulator. The game was tested on the real Commodore 64 and on the VICE emulator.

Missione Lunare è un semplice gioco scritto in BASIC V2.0 per Commodore 64 ispirato a Lunar Lander e Jupiter Lander.

Lo scopo del gioco è far atterrare il modulo lunare su una delle due piattaforme sull'inospitale terreno lunare.

Il modulo può inclinarsi e azionare i motori per cambiare velocità e direzione.

Per avere successo, il modulo dovrà atterrare sulla piattaforma in posizione non inclinata e ad una velocità limitata, una velocità eccessiva o l'impatto con il suolo comporteranno la distruzione del modulo.

Il modulo ha una quantità limitata di carburante, devi prestare attenzione all'indicatore perché rimanere senza carburante quasi sicuramente causerà la distruzione del modulo lunare.

Questo gioco funziona sul vero Commodore 64 e sui principali emulatori.

Come giocare

Per atterrare con successo sulle piattaforme lunari, devi pilotare il modulo lunare utilizzando la tastiera del tuo computer.

Controlli di gioco

• A - Inclina il modulo lunare verso sinistra;
• L - Attiva il motore del modulo lunare;
• D - Inclina il modulo lunare verso destra.

Livelli di difficoltà

Il gioco ha tre livelli di difficoltà a seconda del motore scelto:

• primo motore (rosso), molto potente, ma dai consumi elevati;
• secondo motore (bianco) con potenza e consumi equilibrati (secondo me il livello più semplice);
• terzo motore (verde), molto difficile da gestire, con potenza e consumi inferiori rispetto ai primi due.

La scelta del motore viene effettuata alla partenza del gioco, utilizzando i tasti 1, 2 e 3.

Requisiti di sistema

Per giocare è necessario un Commodore 64 o un emulatore. Il gioco è stato testato sul Commodore 64 e sull'emulatore VICE.
